Olson Duncan understands the complexity of the relationship between med spas and management service organizations (MSO). It is critically important that both the med spa and the MSO are properly insured and that the insurance for both entities follows the management service organization (MSA).

Professional Liability for Your Med Spa

A Medical Spa Professional Liability insurance policy will cover the facility’s corporation and its staff, including aestheticians, laser technicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and physicians or medical directors for all approved services performed on its behalf. The policy provides your business and staff with defense and indemnification against claims alleging negligence or errors in the services performed.

Approved services may include Botox, dermal fillers, laser treatments, chemical peels, medical weight loss services, LED teeth whitening, laser lip, permanent makeup, hair restoration, and others.

Additional Policies

In addition, med spas need General Liability insurance to cover third-party bodily injury and property damage claims such as slips and falls on the premises. A General Liability policy does not cover exposures related to professional services. In addition, we provide Property insurance to cover the building itself if you own it and the items inside your building, such as furniture, computers, décor, and equipment.

We also provide Workers’ Compensation, Employment Practices Liability, and Cyber insurance.
